Fun Ways To Mix It Up

Swap out the peanuts for another nut you prefer cashews or almonds work great. Or use mixed nuts!

Using sprinkles is a fun way to add color for special occasions. For a birthday version add confetti style sprinkles or for Christmas use colored sugar sprinkles or any other kind you have on hand.

You can also add festive mini marshmallows to candies, crushed peppermint for winter, or pastel chocolates for spring. This mix adapts easily to any season or celebration.

To add candies or sprinkles you can sprinkle them to the top of the mix once you lay it out to cool. It will stick at this point but won’t be covered up by the melted chocolate.

How To Store This Chex Mix

Store the cooled mix in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. This keeps the cereal crisp and the chocolate coating firm. If your kitchen runs warm, refrigerate it to prevent melting.
