Chicken Tortilla Soup
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast
- 4 oz green chilies
- 4 oz diced jalapenos
- 15 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 small diced onion
- 3 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 6 tsp chicken bouillon
- 6 cups water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 cups fried tortilla strips or any tortilla strips
Instructions
- Add green chilies, jalapenos, tomatoes, diced onions, garlic, spices, and water to the crock pot and stir until incorporated

- Place chicken in mixture and cook for 5 hours on high or 7 hours on low

- When you are about ready to eat, pull chicken out of the crock pot and shred it

- Put shredded chicken back in your crock pot and add sour cream, stir until well combined

- Let sour cream simmer for about 30 minutes before serving

- Serve with chips, cheese, avocado or any topping you prefer
