  • Eggs
  • Eggnog
  • Cinnamon

  • Vanilla frosting, you can use homemade or premade frosting, whatever you like works for you

How To Store Eggnog Cookies

Keep the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days, or refrigerate them if you want them to stay fresh longer. Freeze unfrosted cookies for up to two months and frost after thawing for the best texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup eggnog
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

For the Frosting

  • 1 can vanilla frosting
  • Cinnamon for sprinkling

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, eggnog, and eggs, and mix until smooth and creamy

  • In a separate bowl combine the flour baking soda salt cinnamon and nutmeg

  • Add the dry ingredients to the mixer a little at a time mixing between additions

  • Scrape down the sides and mix on medium speed until well blended
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
  • Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper
  • Scoop the dough onto the sheets using a cookie scoop
  • Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden
  • Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool

  • When cool frost with vanilla frosting and sprinkle with cinnamon
