Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup eggnog
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

For the Frosting

  • 1 can vanilla frosting
  • Cinnamon for sprinkling

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, eggnog, and eggs, and mix until smooth and creamy

  • In a separate bowl combine the flour baking soda salt cinnamon and nutmeg

  • Add the dry ingredients to the mixer a little at a time mixing between additions

  • Scrape down the sides and mix on medium speed until well blended
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
  • Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper
  • Scoop the dough onto the sheets using a cookie scoop
  • Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden
  • Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool

  • When cool frost with vanilla frosting and sprinkle with cinnamon
