What You Need To Make Easy Caramel Pecan Clusters

A short ingredient list makes this recipe fast, but it’s still worth grabbing everything ahead of time. Dulce de leche and good chocolate can vary from store to store, so planning before you start helps make the process smoother.

Dulce de leche is a slow-cooked milk caramel that’s thick, creamy, and mild in flavor. You can usually find it near the condensed milk, in the baking aisle, or sometimes near ice cream toppings. If it’s not available, you can swap in thick caramel sauce.

Gift These Candies!

Homemade treats like these chocolates are a nice gift to give to friends. Potpourri Jars with cinnamon, citrus, and cloves are easy to assemble and make nice gifts. And Russian Tea Mix stores well and makes delicious wintertime drinks. If you put candies, potpourri jars and Russian tea in a gift basket you have a lovely assortment to give friends.

How To Store These Caramel Pecan Clusters

Keep the candies in an airtight container at room temperature. They hold well for several days and keep their texture as long as they’re stored away from heat.

Avoid refrigeration because that cause condensation. Dampness can lead to “bloom” which is a white grainy looking finish on the chocolates.
