A classic soft white bread loaf that is easy reliable and perfect for sandwiches toast or everyday slicing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water heated to 110°F
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

Instructions

  • Place the ingredients into the bread machine pan in the order listed or according to the manufacturer instructions
    Yeast spread on top of dough in the bread machine pan.
  • Select the white bread cycle and choose your desired crust color
  • Start the machine
  • When finished remove the pan and let the bread cool for 5 minutes
  • Turn the loaf out onto a wire rack and cool completely before slicing

  • Slice into 8 slices or slice as you use it

Notes

  • For a softer crust, brush the top with butter while warm
  • This bread freezes well once fully cooled and wrapped tightly
