The recipe starts with a simple cake mix, so there’s no need to measure out flour or cocoa powder. The real magic happens after baking, when the cake gets soaked with a sweet cream mixture that makes every bite extra rich. A layer of whipped topping keeps it light, and crushed Oreos add the perfect finishing touch.

This cake is all about simple ingredients that work together for an indulgent, cookies-and-cream-inspired dessert. The cake mix makes it quick, the sweetened condensed milk and heavy cream add richness, and the Oreos bring the perfect crunch.

  • whatever ingredients needed to prepare the cake
  • heavy cream
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • whipped topping
  • Oreo cookies

Change It Up!

Want to mix things up? Try using a white cake mix for a cookies-and-cream twist, or go even richer with a chocolate Cool Whip topping. Swap out the Oreos for another favorite cookie, or drizzle a little chocolate sauce over the top before serving. If you love peanut butter, adding a drizzle of peanut butter sauce makes it even better.

Leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator, covered, for up to three days. The cake stays moist, and the whipped topping keeps everything fresh. If you want to make it ahead, wait to add the crushed Oreos until just before serving to keep them crunchy.
