Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl whip together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth
  • Add the egg and vanilla and mix until fully incorporated

  • Add the flour and cornstarch and gently fold in until combined do not overmix

  • Roll the dough into 24 one inch balls

  • Use your finger to press a heart shape into each dough ball

  • Spoon about 1 teaspoon of jam into each heart indentation

  • Cool slightly before serving

Notes

  • Any flavor of jam can be used depending on preference
  • A light dusting of powdered sugar can be added once cooled for a festive finish
