Ingredients

  • 8 fresh green dandelion leaves
  • 12 oz boiling water
  • Sugar or honey, to taste optional

Instructions

  • Strip the dandelion leaves from the stems

  • Roughly chop or tear the leaves
  • Add the chopped leaves to a small teapot
  • Use the handle of a wooden spoon OR a muddler to crush up the dandelion leaves

  • Boil water in a kettle
  • Pour 8–12 oz (240–355 mL) of boiling water over the dandelion greens
  • Let the tea steep for 6–8 minutes
