What To Do With All That Halloween Candy
It’s after Halloween, and the costumes have all been worn. The trick-or-treating is over. The carnival has been attended. And all the candy has been collected. What to do with all that candy?

All The Ways To Use Up Leftover Halloween Candy
There are a lot of great ideas here. What do you do with all that Halloween candy. One thing MY kids always did was graph their favorite candy. 13 snickers, 10 reeses, all mapped out on graph paper. It’s a fun little project that actually slows them down on their consumption.
Bake With It:
There are LOTS of recipes to make with leftover candy. Try Peanut Butter Blossom Bars. Or decorate a Poptart Holiday House. Or even on a full-size Gingerbread House or a Gingerbread House Kit.
Switch Witch:
The what? Some parents let their kids have the chocolate and candy for 1 or 2 nights and then the switch witch comes and trades them the candy for a little present. To me, this seems like a why bother, BUT my kids graphed their candy on Halloween and never let it out of their site down to the very last piece.
Share It:
Pack it up and send it to the office. Don’t have an office to share it with? Ask your friends if they want it for their office.
Send it away:
Treats for Troops is a program by Soldiers Angels. They collect and send out wrapped candy to soldiers.
Donate it:
The food bank takes unopened candy! This is a great way to share your extra Halloween Candy. Look up Food Bank Near Me to donate it locally.
Bag it up:
Pack unopened candy in ziploc bags and deliver them to a shelter. Or hand them out in person if this is an option for you personally.
Christmas boxes:
Our community has a program that gives kids Christmas presents. They take zippered bags of unopened candy for teens. They make perfect stocking stuffers.
Stocking stuffers:
YES. For your own kids, regift them the extra candy. It’s just a simple redistribution of goods rather than a regift situation.

So what will you do with all the Halloween Candy?? Maybe you don’t have any? Or maybe you’re one of the people who shops after Halloween for the best deal on candy. We don’t get any trick-or-treaters at our house. Does that stop us from buying candy? NOPE! We gotta have something to have leftovers of.
